Japanese Language Speech Contest
The Annual Houston Regional and Texas State Japanese Language Speech Contests
February and March 2013
The Annual Texas Japanese Speech Contests are held statewide, first regionally in Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio and then a State contest held in Houston in March.
Designed to promote awareness and understanding of Japanese language, culture and people, the contests are open for students of all ages and levels!
Co-sponsored by The Japan-America Society of Houston and the Consulate-General of Japan in Houston, the contest will offer participants an opportunity to demonstrate their oral communication skills in Japanese and the top two winners of Division III at the state level will compete at the National Japanese Speech Contest in Los Angeles.
