Japanese Language Classes
Learn the Japanese Language!
The Japan-America Society provides weekly Japanese language classes for all levels. All of our classes occur in the evening and our classrooms provide a safe and comfortable learning environment for you.
The classes, by design, are small. We believe that a direct relationship with your teacher (and fellow students) is the core to understanding the language and feeling comfortable with your continued progress. In fact, you will remain with the same teacher and class as you progress through the levels!

Our classes teach the fundamentals and general understanding of the Japanese Language - both reading and writing. Our classes are divided into a wide range of classes and skills levels, all occurring on different days on the week. |
JASH language classes are held at the office of the Japan-America Society from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Classes occur on different days of the week, and the day of the level 101 class is decided the week before a session starts. To see the current schedule click here. However, as you progress through levels your class will stay on the same day with the same professor. |

Our language classes are held at 4543 Post Oak Place Suite 220 in Houston (zip code 77027). The classes themselves are located in the office of the Japan-America Society of Houston - in our conference rooms. Free, safe parking is provided and our building management provides on-site security for added protection. Our office building remains air-conditioned during our classes and brief 'breaks are provided.' |
Language Classes for non-members of JASH: ($185) per 8 week course. Language Classes for members of JASH: ($150) per 8 week course. Study materials for JASH Japanese Language Classes: $75 if purchased online (note - this includes your workbook and study guide. This book will last far beyond your first level of classes). Textbooks are picked up from the JASH office at your convenience or at the first class. Please note that our classes are not refundable once each session begins.
